Effect of coat and skin color variation on longevity, ethnological and functional indices in local goats

The aim of this research was to evaluate the effect variation in number and diversity colors, coat pattern, skin color its on longevity etnological indices local goats from Northern Mexico. Two hundred fifty-one adult were chosen. aforementioned variables recorded addition age, live weight (LW), body condition (BC), fifteen zoometric traits. Seventeen calculated. group with two colors different (P<0.05) age BC. Skin LW BC (P<0.05). higher white mottled animals one-color presented highest Facial Index. Flat-coated Animals had Index horns. Cephalic, pelvic, facial, compactness, relative chest depth, substernal slenderness, shortness color. It is concluded that population phaneroptically heterogeneous number, influence ethnological functional indices.
